this week i will start the auditions for my back up band. there is still time if you wanna apply for a job! i need a fierce lead guitarist, a banging bass player and a smashing drummer. email my manager, peter@getmetal.com, if youre interested. but hurry up! we are planning to get the band together asap!
other than that, alot of things are goin on right now and i know ive said it before... this whole year has been like a rollercoaster of good news and plans regarding my career but i still cant tell you anything about it. i can only say that i hope that my planned recording will take place soon and im sure it will blow your fukkin mind!
as you can see i have changed some things here on the site. just some small changes in the design to make it look better. more to come so stay tuned!!

COLLECTION CD TO BE RELEASED
hey you all and happy new year!! it feels like 2009 is gonna be the year for jennyfer star! i have a lot of things planned and the first thing will be revealed right now!
since alot of people have been asking me where they can buy my music, and all of my old cd´s are sold out, i decided to give you a treat!
right now i´m planning to release a collection cd of old songs. it will contain both solo recordings and old starlet suicide material. it´s scheduled to be released sometime early spring, followed by a couple of acoustic gigs, so keep yer eyes and ears open! if you want to be the first to know, sign up for my newsletter at the front page.

i haven´t been writing much lately here, because things have been pretty slow. but i have some plans and i think things will start to happen soon. thanks for being so patient. love ya all! :)
anywhoooo... the documentary "berny blue" is gonna be aired on swedish television september 29, channel SVT2 at 22:00 (10.00pm). as i have told you before, the movie is about my dear friend, and author, berny pålsson who wrote the books "vingklippt ängel" and "känn pulsen slå". this is the naked truth about a young woman struggleing with mental illness and drug abuse.
and what have i got to do with it? well two of my songs ("baby blue" and "as good as it gets") will be featured in the movie so you better check it out!

hey everybody!
after ALOT of hard work (you can never imagine all the things that have gone wrong with this recording and mixing haha) the song is finally ready!
you can listen to it on my myspace profile, but it will not be available for download. the song is called baby blue and its a ballad i wrote for one of my best friends and soul sister, berny blue.
as i told you guys earlier, the song will be in a documentary movie about berny (who is a well known swedish author), and it will be aired on swedish television, the cinemas and later on be pressed on dvd.
i hope you will like the track, its slightly different since its acoustic, but i think you´ll get the feeling of how much i love this grrrl and how much i wish that i could help her get well.

things are looking up and a lot of stuff is going on but i can´t tell you more about it at the moment. i can tell you this:
there are two new promo pixx up in the photo section, taken by my dear friend helene eriksson.
i am currently recording a new song called "baby blue" which i have written for another dear friend, berny pålsson. for those who doesn´t know she is a swedish author who just released her second book ("känn pulsen slå"), about living with schizofrenia. now, a documentary about her is in the makin, and this song i am recording + "as good as it gets" will be featured in the film. this is really exciting! to see a trailer of the movie and read more about berny, visit bernyblue.com.

here´s a surprise for ya.
i while ago i recorded a cover of a swindle-a-go-go song, "stripping out". for those of you who doesn´t know, swindle-a-go-go is a band i used to play in before starlet suicide. the song is written by my man, spinx b'stard and i think it´s such a good song so i didn´t want it to go to waste ;)
so since all of you guys keep asking me when i will release more songs i figured i would finish the song and upload it for you. a little treat while i work on my new stuff! :) you can find it under treats.
the song was recorded in KB studios. i played all the guitars and did all vocals. peter london played the bass guitar & programmed the drums. he also helped me with the mixing.
really hope you will like it! it´s catchy pop-punk deluxe. ;)

now i have also started writing for the awesome site coolgrrrls.com! it´s a single girls guide from a bunch of different corners on earth! i will write columns every month about the rock scene in stockholm. the first column is not up yet, but will be soon so keep checkin in there for updates!

first of all, today was the day my dear friend dave lepard was supposed to turn 27.. he´s not with us anymore but my thoughts today goes to him as well as his family and friends. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS!
and about me.. there are many people asking when and where i will play. i haven´t booked any gigs yet, for various reasons. mostly because i feel like i both need and deserve a little vacation from touring. but i will be back before you know it!! i am currently working on some new tracks and hoping to record some more ass-kickin tunes this summer or maybe in the beginning of fall.
anyways, the first review of "on my own" is added to the press section, and more reviews will come soon.

what´s goin on rite now? i´m currently recording my new songs. soon you will be able to listen to a sound clip of one of the songs and after that it wont be too long untill i will put all the songs on the website for download.
one of the new songs will be on bubblegum slut magazine´s new compilation cd which will be out in may 2007.
i am also recording a cover of a betty blowtorch song which will be on a tribute cd. i don´t know yet when this cd will be released though. but i´m really happy about it cause it´s one of my favourite bands!
